MVIS Supports Highfields School Students with Mock Interviews

At MVIS, we believe in investing in the future and supporting the next generation as they prepare for their careers. Our success in 2025 was driven not only by innovation and growth but by the dedication and expertise of our staff. We know that fostering relationships with local communities, schools, and young talent is key to both their success and ours.

Last year, our Marketing Manager, Ben Kettell, and Marketing Executive, Ben Ashman, visited Highfields School, located near our headquarters in Tansley, to assist with their annual mock interviews. These sessions give students a practical insight into the job application process and help them build confidence in professional settings.

This year, we were proud to send Ben Ashman back to Highfields School, this time accompanied by our Business Development Manager, Juliette Wright. Both Ben and Juliette conducted mock interviews with students, treating each scenario as a real job application. After the interviews, they provided constructive feedback on interview techniques and CV improvements, helping students understand what employers are looking for.

Research shows that students who participate in mock interviews are significantly more prepared for real-world job applications. According to a recent study by the National Careers Service, over 70% of students who take part in mock interviews report feeling more confident when attending actual interviews. This practical experience helps them perform better in apprenticeships, university applications, and their first full-time roles.

MVIS has a long history of supporting Highfields students through work experience placements and apprenticeships. By dedicating a morning to mock interviews, we aim to make the transition from school to work or further education smoother and less daunting. Our goal is to ensure students leave Highfields feeling confident, prepared, and excited about their future career opportunities.

Every year, we are proud to support Highfields School and continue helping students take the next step in their professional journeys. At MVIS, we are committed to nurturing talent and empowering the workforce of tomorrow.
